      Dear Archie,

I like you am very inspired by the heroic life of Blessed Dominic and would like to promote the cause for his canonization here in the U.K., where, unbelievably, his cause is sadly neglected and very few Catholics seem to be aware of his part in the history of English Catholicism. If you do hear of any prayer resources and other matterials in relation to Blessed Dominic’s cause I would be very pleased if you would pass them on.

      God bless you.

O God, who so lovingly raised Blessed Dominic to the heights of holiness, learning and apostolic zeal and made him a powerful minister of Thy mercy for the return of many of our separated brethren to the Catholic Church, grant to us here below, an abundant share of his virtues and deign, through his intercession, to grant us this particular grace……

May we too, according to our state, contribute to the realisation of his desire for the union of all Christians in the one True Fold under the one Shepherd, Amen.

I am praying to Father Ignatius to heal a neighbor who has a blood disease called mylar displaysia. I hope that through his intercession that she will be healed. I was first attracted to this priest, because of his wish to convert England, and because he helped the potato famine victims.

  3. John Adams says:

I wanted to know more about Blessed Dominic, on this his Feast Day (26/8/10)and have enjoyed reading the material; especially the letter to Oxford “Professors”. Given that he started life as a poor shepherd boy without the best of educations, his literary style, not to mention his Biblical knowledge is very impressive. Very different from what I thought.(I am a convert from the Anglican Church-1990).
